04 — Operating principle

How it works

Grating spectrometer

Grating spectrometer

Grating spectrometer

Light enters through a narrow slit, is collimated by a mirror and spread into its wavelengths by a grating. A CMOS array captures the full spectrum in one exposure, so a measurement takes milliseconds.
